The Modern Barrel — Vintage Indigo

A fresh take on everyday denim. The Modern Barrel is designed with a softly curved leg that creates a relaxed, modern silhouette while still feeling easy and flattering. Sitting comfortably at the waist, it offers a laid-back fit through the hip and thigh before tapering slightly for that signature barrel shape.

Crafted from soft stretch denim, it moves with you while holding its shape wear after wear. The vintage indigo wash adds a worn-in feel, giving it that perfect balance of structure and ease. Available in three inseam options for a more personalized fit, it’s a style that works effortlessly across seasons.

These jeans are more of a loose fit. If you have our Avery Denim Straight Leg, get the same size in the barrel as the straight. If you are between sizes, you can size down. If you want them to sit lower and have a slouchier look, stay with your regular size. If you want them a little more fitted through the waist and hips, go down one size. 

Tiffany's Fit: In a Judy Blue jean, I wear a size 1, in American Eagle, I wear a 2/4, in the Avery Denim Straight, I wear a 2, in this Barrel, I wear a 2, and a size 0 for more fitted.

Modern barrel jeans

I love these jeans. I was on the fence about barrel jeans in general. I did have to get the petite. For reference I’m 5’4. The regular length was just too long for look I was wanting. I wanted a smaller folded cuff. They are perfect.

Very cute and well made

They are well made and cute and I look forward to more of the Avery line coming out. The sizing was very off though - I followed the guidelines and they are huge in the crotch area - I don't think that I will be able to wear them unless I wear a longer shirt. They are also extremely heavy - so they will be saved for fall. Looking forward to lighter weight denim for Texas weather.

Size still not right for me

I love the style, the fabrics and the inside leopard band, however, I am going to send them back for the second time and try another size. My Judy Blue size is a 7 which would make my department store size an 8. That’s what I ordered to begin with. When they arrived, I could get them on but not fastened. Sent them back and ordered a 10. Got them and the waste is still too tight. Going to return these and try a 12. These are not made for someone with a thicker waist. Hopefully 3rd times a charm.
